In a world teeming with noise, certain voices stand out for their unwavering commitment to making a difference.
Today, we are thrilled to celebrate a true role model, someone who has used his influence to champion the cause of animals and the environment. The power of such people cannot be overstated—they inspire change, encourage compassion, and lead by example.
The person we’re honoring today has not only excelled in his professional field but has also been a beacon of hope for a better, kinder world.
So, who is this remarkable individual?
Happy Birthday, Finneas!
Today, the incredibly talented Finneas O’Connell, brother of pop sensation Billie Eilish, turns 27. Finneas, born on July 30, 1997, is much more than a sibling to a superstar; he’s a star in his own right and a passionate advocate for animal rights.
Meet the Maestro: Finneas O’Connell
So, who exactly is Finneas O’Connell? To start, he’s not just another singer-songwriter; he’s arguably one of the most influential songwriters of our time.
With a staggering 10 Grammy Awards among 18 nominations, Finneas has made history. Notably, he became the youngest person ever to win the Producer of the Year, Non-Classical category. His collaboration with his sister Billie Eilish has produced hits that have swept awards shows, including Record of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year.
But the accolades don’t stop there. Finneas and Billie’s work on ‘No Time to Die‘ for the James Bond film earned them an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, and yet another Grammy. Their song ‘What Was I Made For?‘ further cemented their legacy, making them the youngest ever to win two Academy Awards. In short, Finneas is a musical powerhouse.
Is Finneas O’Connell Vegan?
Yes, Finneas O’Connell is proudly vegan. Like his sister Billie, Finneas was raised vegetarian and later embraced a vegan lifestyle. Both siblings have been vocal about their beliefs, advocating for a plant-based diet as a way to support animal rights and environmental sustainability.
‘Criminally’ Easy to Be Vegan
Promoting his mother’s charitable initiative, Support + Feed, which provides plant-based meals to those in need, Finneas wrote on his Instagram, “It’s so good, it’s honestly like so criminally easy to be vegan right now you have no excuse not to.” His statement highlights not only the accessibility of a vegan lifestyle but also his commitment to spreading the message.
The Inspiration: Finneas’ Mother, Maggie Baird
The passion for veganism in the O’Connell family has deep roots, thanks to Finneas’ mother, Maggie Baird. She founded Support + Feed, a non-profit organization combatting the climate crisis and food insecurity by promoting a plant-based food system.
As Maggie Baird told Livekindly, “We created a platform where we could provide plant-based, healthy, nutritious meals to people in need. And, in turn, help the restaurants and everyone involved with them from the farmers to the cooks.”
Support + Feed operates in Los Angeles, New York City, and Philadelphia, partnering with vegan restaurants to distribute meals to those in need. Customers can donate meals, which are then delivered to donation centers and distributed. Baird emphasizes, “We want to prove to people that people care about the planet. [And] that people know that eating a plant-based diet is one of the most important things we can do for the planet.”
Finneas regularly champions his mother’s efforts, once writing on Instagram, “All values and qualities I aspire to possess and uphold are yours mom. If anyone can change the world, it’s you.”
Have a Great One, Finneas!
As Finneas celebrates his 27th birthday, we extend our heartfelt thanks for his contributions to music and his unwavering support for animals and the environment. Here’s to hoping he enjoys a day filled with delicious plant-based food and continues to inspire others to follow in his compassionate footsteps. Happy birthday, Finneas! The animals thank you.
